The Affordable Care Act (ACA) has delivered affordable insurance to millions of Americans, but healthcare costs have continued to rise and it is time for more reform, transparency, and improvement.

2. CPR will fight to preserve your right to care despite PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. Patients should not be rejected or charged more because of their health history.

3. CPR will fight to preserve your right to INCLUDE YOUR CHILDREN on your insurance policy until they reach age 26.

4. CPR will fight to preserve your right to FREE PREVENTIVE CARE. Early detection and prevention improves quality of life and saves billions in future treatment costs.

5. CPR will fight to preserve the CAP ON OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS LIKE DEDUCTIBLES AND CO-PAYS.

6. CPR will fight to preserve the BAN ON CAPPING ANNUAL AND LIFETIME INSURANCE BENEFITS. No one struggling to recover from an injury or illness should be denied coverage at critical moments due to an arbitrary benefit cap.

7. CPR will fight to OPPOSE REPEAL OF THE CHILDRENS HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM (CHIP) that provides coverage for 10 million lower-and-middle-income children, including doctor visits, immunizations, prescriptions, and hospital stays. Keeping children healthy will lower healthcare costs for them – and for all of us – in the future.

In addition to protecting our rights under the Affordable Care Act, CPR will:
• SUPPORT EFFORTS TO LOWER THE COST OF PRESCRIPTION DRUGS and stop Prescription Benefit Managers (PBMs) from siphoning savings from pharmaceutical companies that should flow through to consumers.
• FIGHT TO ELIMINATE COSTLY WASTE, FRAUD, AND ABUSE in healthcare access and delivery, with a particular focus on preventing enrollment of ineligible recipients and fraudulent or erroneous billing by health care providers. Billions spent on waste and fraud deny deserving patients needed care and line the pockets of scammers and fraudsters abusing our healthcare system.
